Beautiful and peaceful sea, the perfect place for a summer vacation. It is a very quiet place, as there is no cafe right on the beach, and it is a good place for taking a walk or playing in the water. However, the coast is short and the sea looks deep, so be careful when playing in the water. There are many cafes and restaurants around the pier, and there are cruises where you can rent a boat or watch whales. A great place to enjoy your summer vacation without going far

I have great memories of the Balboa Pier. This is the first time I've been there in 37 years. The fishermen have always been there, it's a way of life for them. We saw about 60 dolphins heading towards Newport. It was amazing. I had breakfast at Ruby's and was pleasantly surprised by service and quality of food.
